Visitor information

The concert begins at 7.30 PM and is planned to end at around 9.30 PM.

The "Festival of Joy" will take place on Vienna’s Heldenplatz (Heroes’ Square).

The free concert of the Wiener Symphoniker will also be shown on a big screen.
Interpreter Sabine Zeller will also simultaneously sign all the speeches for the deaf and hard of hearing.

ORF III "Kultur und Information" will broadcast the event live on TV.

Seating is limited and priority is given to the elderly and those who need it the most. It is not possible to reserve seats.

The event will take place regardless of the weather. Please consider the regulations (german only) of the festival.

By Vienna city public transport
Take the subway to U2 station Volkstheater; 5 minute walk.
Or, take the tram D, 1, 2 or 71 to Burgring; 3 minute walk.

Arriving at Westbahnhof; take the U3 to Volkstheater; then, a 5-minute walk.
Arriving at Hauptbahnhof; take the U1 to Karlsplatz; then take the tram D, 1, 2 or 71 to Burgring OR take a 10-minute walk.

Due to limited space for parking round the Heldenplatz it is strongly recommended that you do not travel to the event by car. Heldenplatz is easily accessible via public transport from all directions.
